Jessica Murphy, LPC - Associate, M.Ed.

PSYCHOLOGY TODAY

Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work before beginning her career as a certified school teacher. After 8 years in the classroom she earned her Masters in Educational Leadership, then transitioned into administration.  Over the next 11 years, she served in multiple roles across the education system. She realized the most meaningful part of her work in education has been the relationships she built with students and families, supporting not only their academic growth but their emotional wellbeing.  That spurred her to obtain her Masters in School Counseling. She has now served as a school counselor for the past 4 years. Her experience ranges from Pre-K to high school with teens being her specialty.

With nearly two decades in the field, Jessica brings a deep understanding of the stress, expectations, and unique pressures educators face. She knows firsthand how demanding the profession can be and how important it is for educators to have a safe space to process their experiences.

Jessica’s personal life has also given her insight into another world of complex stressors. She has been married to a law enforcement officer for twenty years, and she understands the distinct dynamics, challenges, and resilience that shape LEO families. These experiences have strengthened her belief that people enter our lives at the exact moment they are meant to—and that support, compassion, and understanding can make all the difference.

As a therapist, Jessica is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors openly. She believes in a collaborative approach to therapy, working closely with each individual to honor their unique needs and goals.

Jessica knows that life brings both highs and lows, and she understands that everyone needs a caring, steady presence at times. She believes that no struggle is too small or too overwhelming. Your story matters, and she is dedicated to walking alongside you as you navigate your mental health journey.
